Semaglutide raw material supplier CAS 910463-68-2 · GLP-1 receptor agonist
Semaglutide raw material from Pepti, Guangzhou: a GLP-1 receptor agonist supplied as bulk powder or lyophilized vials, released against a batch COA that reports RP-HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity. Seven public batch records sit in the Pepti COA library, with HPLC results between 98.7% and 99.6%. Sample orders start at 1 kit (10 vials); private-label OEM starts at 50 kits.
What Semaglutide is
Single-agonist GLP-1 analogue (acylated, C18 diacid side chain). INN semaglutide; published in WHO INN lists.
Semaglutide is a 31-residue analogue of human GLP-1(7-37). Three deliberate changes separate it from the native hormone: an α-aminoisobutyric acid (Aib) at position 8 that blocks cleavage by the DPP-4 enzyme, an arginine at position 34 that removes a second lysine so acylation happens at only one site, and a C18 fatty diacid attached to the lysine at position 26 through a γ-glutamate and two short polyethylene-glycol spacers. The fatty diacid binds albumin, which is what gives the molecule its long half-life in the published pharmacology literature. For a raw-material buyer the practical consequences are different: the acylated side chain makes the peptide amphipathic, shifts its retention on reversed-phase columns, and adds a class of synthesis impurities (missing or doubled side chain) that a plain peptide does not have.
The sequence is public. It is listed in the WHO International Nonproprietary Names records and in the PubChem entry for CID 56843331, which gives the molecular formula C187H291N45O59 and a computed molecular weight of about 4114 g/mol for the free peptide. Pepti synthesizes the same sequence by solid-phase peptide synthesis, cleaves and deprotects it, purifies it by preparative reversed-phase HPLC and lyophilizes it. The mass spectrometry result on each batch certificate is compared against that PubChem formula; a buyer can do the same comparison independently without any information from Pepti.
Two points about identity deserve a sentence each. First, the raw material is the peptide; the salt or counter-ion form after purification is reported on the batch certificate where it was tested, and a buyer whose analytical method depends on it should state the requirement on the RFQ. Second, semaglutide has a tryptophan residue, so oxidation is one of the degradation routes a stored sample can show; the storage notes below and the impurity guide cover what that looks like on a chromatogram.
Supply formats, units and minimums
Two formats, one unit system, no hidden tiers.
Raw powder
Semaglutide raw material is supplied as bulk powder from 5 g, shipped cold-chain. Each shipment is tied to one production batch and its COA; the lot code on the container matches the lot code on the certificate. Raw powder is the format research organizations and fill-finish partners ask for when they run their own weighing, reconstitution or formulation work.
Lyophilized vials
The same batch can be filled as lyophilized powder in glass vials. The unit is fixed: 1 kit = 10 vials. Published lot strengths for Semaglutide are 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg, 30 mg, 40 mg, 50 mg; other fill weights are quoted on request. Vials ship with a neutral label by default; private-label artwork is handled under the OEM minimum.
Minimums
- Sample order: 1 kit (10 vials) of one compound and strength, so a buyer can test before scaling.
- Private-label OEM: 50 kits (500 vials) per artwork, after label scope is approved.
- Bulk powder: from 5 g, shipped cold-chain.
- Custom sequences: 100 kits (1,000 vials), typically about 15 days after specification and payment confirmation — for analogues not listed on this site.
Semaglutide is the compound with the widest spread of public vial strengths in the Pepti library, from 5 mg to 50 mg per vial, because distributors and laboratories order it in more fill sizes than any other GLP-1-family peptide. If your work needs a strength outside the published list, say so on the RFQ; a different fill from the same released bulk lot is a filling change, not a new synthesis, and is quoted inside the production-batch window.
Specification and batch evidence
Published batch range: 98.7%–99.6% by HPLC across 7 public records.
Every Semaglutide batch is released against a certificate of analysis that reports chromatographic purity (RP-HPLC, area-percent of the main peak) and molecular-weight identity (mass spectrometry, observed mass compared with the theoretical mass of C187H291N45O59). The COA also carries the lot code, manufacture date, test date and retest date. Those are the fields a buyer should match against the quoted lot before paying; nothing on this page replaces that lot-specific document.
What the certificate does not show matters just as much. HPLC area-percent describes how much of the UV-absorbing material elutes as the main peak; it does not quantify water, counter-ion, residual solvent or fill weight. MS identity confirms that the main component has the expected mass; it does not by itself prove the absence of a co-eluting isomer. Buyers who need those answers run their own panel on a received sample, and Pepti supports that route — see quality and batch records.

Lead-time ladder for the GLP-1 family
Three windows, counted from specification and payment confirmation.
- Sample kits5–10 days
typically, for 1-kit sample orders of a listed GLP-1 compound
- Production batch14–21 days
typically, for a first production batch after specification is confirmed
- OEM repeat order21–28 days
typically, for private-label repeat batches with artwork already approved
Lead times are typical ranges, not commitments; the applicable window is confirmed on each RFQ.
Semaglutide sits in the GLP-1 family ladder with the other five compounds on this site. A sample kit normally leaves the Guangzhou site within the first window because it is filled from a released batch. A first production batch takes the middle window because synthesis, cleavage, purification, lyophilization and QC run in sequence for your specification. OEM repeat orders take the longest window because label printing, carton proofing and fill are added after the material is released. If a batch is already in stock, the quote says so and the window shortens; if a custom strength or analogue is requested, the quote says that too.
How to verify Semaglutide from Pepti before you pay
Four checks that take less time than a wire transfer.
- Open the public record. Pick a lot from the list above and open it on peptioem.com. Compare the compound, strength, lot alias, purity result and dates with the quote you received.
- Ask for the lot that will ship. Public records are examples of the document format. For your order, request the COA of the exact lot allocated to you and confirm the lot code again on the shipping label when it arrives.
- Check the identifiers. CAS 910463-68-2 and the theoretical mass of C187H291N45O59 are public; the MS result on the COA should sit within normal instrument tolerance of that mass.
- Test a received sample if your QA requires it. Order 1 kit (10 vials), send one vial to a laboratory of your choice, and compare. Pepti's own independent data point is Janoshik report #210105 (Retatrutide 20 mg sample: 19.52 mg content, 99.837% purity, analyzed 2026-10-07), which is sample-specific and verifiable at verify.janoshik.com.
Storage, shipping and handling
Cold chain in transit; retest date on the COA.
Semaglutide ships from Guangzhou as lyophilized powder in sealed containers inside an insulated carton with gel packs or dry ice, depending on the route and season. The courier label, the inner carton label and the certificate all carry the same lot alias; that is the first thing to check on arrival. The second is the state of the cold packs, which tells you whether the parcel sat warm in transit. Photographs of real dispatches, grouped by month and tagged by destination, are on the order-photos page.
Keep the sealed container cold, dry and dark, under the conditions stated on the batch certificate. Let a container come to room temperature before opening it so condensation does not form on the powder; lyophilized peptides are hygroscopic and absorbed water changes both the weighed mass and the long-term stability. For bulk powder it is better to aliquot once into working containers than to reopen the primary container repeatedly.
The certificate carries a manufacture date, a test date and a retest date. The retest date is the point at which the lot should be re-examined by HPLC and MS before further use, not a promise about its condition until then. A re-test that lands inside the published range for the compound is normal; a result well outside it is a reason to contact Pepti with the lot alias and your chromatogram.

Questions buyers ask
Which batch COA will I receive for a semaglutide order?
The certificate for the exact lot allocated to your order. The seven public records in the Pepti library show the document format and the range of results; they are not substituted for the shipped lot. Ask for the lot alias on the quote and compare it with the carton on arrival.
What is the minimum order for semaglutide raw material?
A sample order is 1 kit (10 vials) of one strength. Bulk raw powder starts from 5 g and ships cold-chain. Private-label OEM starts at 50 kits (500 vials) once artwork is approved. Lead times for the GLP-1 family are typically 5–10 days for sample kits, 14–21 days for a production batch and 21–28 days for an OEM repeat order.
How do I check the semaglutide identity myself?
Compare the molecular-weight result on the certificate with the theoretical mass for C187H291N45O59 (PubChem CID 56843331, about 4114 g/mol), then confirm the CAS number 910463-68-2 on the label and the certificate. For a stronger check, send one vial from a 1-kit sample to an independent laboratory for HPLC purity and MS identity and compare the result with the COA.
Is Pepti a drug-substance manufacturer for semaglutide?
No. Semaglutide from Pepti is a research-use raw material for research organizations, laboratories and B2B buyers. Pepti does not present itself as a cGMP drug-substance (API) manufacturer or CDMO and does not publish a GMP certificate or DMF. For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
