Cagrilintide raw material supplier CAS 1415456-99-3 · Long-acting amylin analogue

Cagrilintide raw material from Pepti, Guangzhou: a long-acting acylated amylin analogue supplied as bulk powder or lyophilized vials, released with a batch COA that reports RP-HPLC purity and MS identity. Two public batch records are in the Pepti COA library, both at 99.2% by HPLC. Sample 1 kit (10 vials); private-label OEM from 50 kits.

01

What Cagrilintide is

Long-acting acylated amylin analogue (37 residues, disulfide bridge, C20 diacid acylation). INN cagrilintide; published in WHO INN lists.

Cagrilintide is the one compound on this site that is not a GLP-1, GIP or glucagon receptor agonist. It is a 37-residue analogue of amylin, the pancreatic peptide co-secreted with insulin, re-engineered for a long half-life with a C20 fatty diacid attached through a γ-glutamate linker. It appears on a GLP-1 raw-material site because it is studied and purchased alongside semaglutide in the published literature on combination regimens, and because laboratories that order one tend to order the other from the same release standard.

Structurally it differs from the GLP-1 family in two ways that matter at the bench. It contains a disulfide bridge between cysteines at positions 2 and 7, so synthesis ends with a controlled oxidation step and the certificate's mass result must reflect the oxidized (bridged) form, which is lighter than the reduced peptide by the two hydrogen atoms lost in forming the bond. And it contains no tryptophan or methionine, so oxidative degradation during storage follows a different pattern from semaglutide or tirzepatide. The published formula on PubChem CID 171397054 is C194H312N54O59S2, with a computed molecular weight of about 4409 g/mol; the sequence is public through the WHO INN records and NCATS GSRS lists it under UNII AO43BIF1U8.

Amylin analogues have a known tendency to aggregate in solution; the native hormone forms fibrils readily, and the sequence changes in cagrilintide reduce but do not eliminate that behaviour. For a raw-material buyer this is a handling point rather than a chemistry point: keep the lyophilized powder dry and sealed, and expect that any solution-state analytical work needs the buffer and timing controlled. Pepti's release testing is done on freshly prepared solutions for that reason, and the storage guide covers the handling side.

Supply formats, units and minimums

Two formats, one unit system, no hidden tiers.

Raw powder

Cagrilintide raw material is supplied as bulk powder from 5 g, shipped cold-chain. Each shipment is tied to one production batch and its COA; the lot code on the container matches the lot code on the certificate. Raw powder is the format research organizations and fill-finish partners ask for when they run their own weighing, reconstitution or formulation work.

Lyophilized vials

The same batch can be filled as lyophilized powder in glass vials. The unit is fixed: 1 kit = 10 vials. Published lot strengths for Cagrilintide are 5 mg, 10 mg; other fill weights are quoted on request. Vials ship with a neutral label by default; private-label artwork is handled under the OEM minimum.

Minimums

  • Sample order: 1 kit (10 vials) of one compound and strength, so a buyer can test before scaling.
  • Private-label OEM: 50 kits (500 vials) per artwork, after label scope is approved.
  • Bulk powder: from 5 g, shipped cold-chain.
  • Custom sequences: 100 kits (1,000 vials), typically about 15 days after specification and payment confirmation — for analogues not listed on this site.

Public cagrilintide records cover 5 mg and 10 mg vials. Because the compound is frequently requested together with semaglutide, Pepti quotes the two on one RFQ with separate lot certificates; they are never co-filled. If a laboratory needs raw powder for its own formulation work, the 5 g bulk minimum applies and the powder ships cold-chain against the same batch certificate as the vials.

Specification and batch evidence

Published batch result: 99.2% by HPLC (2 public records).

Every Cagrilintide batch is released against a certificate of analysis that reports chromatographic purity (RP-HPLC, area-percent of the main peak) and molecular-weight identity (mass spectrometry, observed mass compared with the theoretical mass of C194H312N54O59S2). The COA also carries the lot code, manufacture date, test date and retest date. Those are the fields a buyer should match against the quoted lot before paying; nothing on this page replaces that lot-specific document.

What the certificate does not show matters just as much. HPLC area-percent describes how much of the UV-absorbing material elutes as the main peak; it does not quantify water, counter-ion, residual solvent or fill weight. MS identity confirms that the main component has the expected mass; it does not by itself prove the absence of a co-eluting isomer. Buyers who need those answers run their own panel on a received sample, and Pepti supports that route — see quality and batch records.

Lead-time ladder for the GLP-1 family

Three windows, counted from specification and payment confirmation.

  1. Sample kits
    5–10 days

typically, for 1-kit sample orders of a listed GLP-1 compound

  2. Production batch
    14–21 days

typically, for a first production batch after specification is confirmed

  3. OEM repeat order
    21–28 days

typically, for private-label repeat batches with artwork already approved

Lead times are typical ranges, not commitments; the applicable window is confirmed on each RFQ.

Cagrilintide sits in the GLP-1 family ladder with the other five compounds on this site. A sample kit normally leaves the Guangzhou site within the first window because it is filled from a released batch. A first production batch takes the middle window because synthesis, cleavage, purification, lyophilization and QC run in sequence for your specification. OEM repeat orders take the longest window because label printing, carton proofing and fill are added after the material is released. If a batch is already in stock, the quote says so and the window shortens; if a custom strength or analogue is requested, the quote says that too.

How to verify Cagrilintide from Pepti before you pay

Four checks that take less time than a wire transfer.

  1. Open the public record. Pick a lot from the list above and open it on peptioem.com. Compare the compound, strength, lot alias, purity result and dates with the quote you received.
  2. Ask for the lot that will ship. Public records are examples of the document format. For your order, request the COA of the exact lot allocated to you and confirm the lot code again on the shipping label when it arrives.
  3. Check the identifiers. CAS 1415456-99-3 and the theoretical mass of C194H312N54O59S2 are public; the MS result on the COA should sit within normal instrument tolerance of that mass.
  4. Test a received sample if your QA requires it. Order 1 kit (10 vials), send one vial to a laboratory of your choice, and compare. Pepti's own independent data point is Janoshik report #210105 (Retatrutide 20 mg sample: 19.52 mg content, 99.837% purity, analyzed 2026-10-07), which is sample-specific and verifiable at verify.janoshik.com.

Storage, shipping and handling

Cold chain in transit; retest date on the COA.

Cagrilintide ships as sealed lyophilized powder in an insulated carton with cold packs or dry ice by route. On arrival, check the lot alias across the courier label, the inner carton and the certificate, confirm the cold packs are still cold or frozen, and inspect the seals before logging the lot. Dispatch photographs grouped by month and destination are on the order-photos page.

Store sealed containers cold, dry and dark under the conditions stated on the batch certificate, and equilibrate to room temperature before opening. Because amylin analogues are aggregation-prone, avoid repeated freeze-thaw of any opened container and aliquot bulk powder once into working containers. The disulfide bridge is stable in the dry state; reduction is not a storage concern for sealed lyophilized material.

Treat the retest date on the certificate as the trigger for a re-examination by HPLC and MS. For cagrilintide, the identity check should confirm the bridged mass, and the purity check should be run on a freshly prepared solution so aggregation does not distort the chromatogram. Results that disagree materially with the certificate should go back to Pepti with the lot alias and the raw data.

07

Research-use boundary

Scope. Cagrilintide from Pepti is supplied as a research-use raw material to research organizations, laboratories and B2B buyers. For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. No instructions for use, no protocols and no medical information are given, and buyer eligibility, destination rules and intended use are reviewed before a quote becomes an order. Pepti does not present itself as a cGMP drug-substance (API) manufacturer or CDMO and does not publish a GMP certificate or DMF. Buyers who need a drug-substance manufacturer with a filed master file should look elsewhere; buyers who need a transparent research-use batch with a verifiable COA are in the right place.

Questions buyers ask

Why are both public cagrilintide records at exactly 99.2%?

Because two lot-strength combinations (5 mg and 10 mg) have been published so far and both reported 99.2% by HPLC. That is a small sample; it is not a specification or a promise. Your order ships with the certificate for the specific lot allocated to it, and the public library grows as more records are prepared.

Can cagrilintide and semaglutide be ordered together?

Yes, on one RFQ, each with its own lot certificate; the two are never co-filled in a vial. Minimums apply per compound: sample 1 kit (10 vials); bulk raw powder from 5 g, cold-chain; private-label OEM from 50 kits (500 vials). GLP-1-family lead times are typically 5–10 days for sample kits, 14–21 days for a production batch and 21–28 days for an OEM repeat order.

How do I confirm the disulfide bridge is formed?

The mass-spectrometry result on the certificate should agree with the theoretical mass for the oxidized (bridged) peptide, C194H312N54O59S2 at about 4409 g/mol. A reduced peptide would be heavier by two hydrogen atoms, and an independent laboratory can distinguish the two by MS and by a reversed-phase retention shift.

What is cagrilintide from Pepti intended for?

Research use by research organizations, laboratories and B2B buyers. For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. Pepti does not present itself as a cGMP drug-substance (API) manufacturer or CDMO and does not publish a GMP certificate or DMF.
